Directions to Bessou
AIR - there are frequent flights to BORDEAUX and TOULOUSE airports which are about two hours drive.
There is increasing flight availability with low cost airlines to BERGERAC, which is only 30 minutes
away.
RAIL - To Bordeaux/Libourne then Bergerac.
HIRE CARS - several clients have booked hire cars, on the Internet, from Bergerac station and from
Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse airports. We can recommend a good local hire company.
ROAD - two alternative suggested routes
Via the motorway A10 Paris to Bordeaux
Via the motorway A10 Paris to Bordeaux leaving at the junction 40 Dir. Libourne.
Then follow Dir. Bergerac D936.
At Bergerac take the N21 south, Dir. Villeneuve-sur-Lot /Agen.
At Castillones take the D2 to Villeréal.
Via the motorway at Orleans.
Via the motorway A10 from Paris at junction 12 take Dir. Orleans.
Join A71 Dir. Vierzon.
Join A20 Dir. Chateauroux/Limoges. (Benefit is that this is currently TOLL FREE) Leave at junction 19.
Join A89 Dir. Perigeux. Leave at junction 15, Dir. Bergerac.
At Bergerac take the N21 south Dir. Villeneuve-sue-Lot/Agen.
At Castillones take the D2 to Villeréal.
Directions from Villeréal to Lou Bessou
Take the MONFLANQUIN road, D676 for approx. 2 kms.
Turn right on the D153 (bottom of the hill) signposted BORN/CANCON.
After about 1km take first left (small road). Continue up the hill around to the right. Cross over
unmarked crossroads. (Carefully!)
Continue for about 1.5km to another small crossroads with a large grey barn on the left. Turn right
here through the middle of farm buildings, next right, and you will find Bessou on your right with
laurel hedge, wooden gates and stone pillars.
